Office Work
A volunteer is needed to conduct a phone survey of current and past Recreation program participants, approximately two-four hours per week during the work day at the Recreation Office.
Volunteers are needed periodically to assist during preparation for events to answer phones or work on the computer at the Recreation Office or in City Hall.
Photographer
A photographer is needed to provide digital photos of various Recreation programs and events, for use on the city's web page and in print materials.

Adult Mentors - Youth Action Council
The City of Redding Youth Action Council has several projects they would like to accomplish this year. We need additional adult support to work on project specific committees. Opportunities include the Youth Leadership Conference, web site development, planning of a video/gaming event and teen music scene events. Hours are flexible, typically evenings and weekends. If you are interested, please contact Susan Wilson at 225-8528 or swilson@shastacoe.org
Art Installation / Reception Assistance
Volunteers are vital to our thrice-yearly art exhibits, from assisting the artists with installation of the artwork to greeting guests at the evening reception, serving refreshments, assisting with set-up and clean-up. Receptions and art hanging are held three times per year in the early evening. Some training is required. We would want someone willing to make a commitment of at least one year. If you are interested in an opportunity to become an active participant in the city's cultural life, please contact Mari Szynal at 225-4104 or mszynal@ci.redding.ca.us
